Otorhinolaryngology commonly named as ENT is broad surgical specialty subject in medical education for undergraduate & postgraduate students. This subject deals all the patients having disease related to Ear, Nose and Throat. All major & minor Otorhinolaryngology & head & neck surgeries are done routinely.
FACILITIES & SERVICES:
  • Out Patient service having separate consultation rooms for faculty, dressing room, injection room, minor Operation Theater
  • Daily OPD with facilities to diagnose and treat all E.N.T.& Head neck Diseases.

  • Audio-visual teaching Aids with LCD projector for power point presentations of didactic Lectures / Seminars, OHP projector, facilities of Internet connection for Faculty, SLR camera for operative, clinical and research photograph.
  • Surgical Museum with mounted specimens, catalogues, photographs and potraits of emineient ENT surgeons
  • Modular Operation Theaters for routine and emergency surgery with Operating Microscope - Ziess Sensura. Karl Storz endoscope with camera, and Powered high speed drilling motor.
  • Facilities for Endoscopy of Nose, nasopharynx, & laryngopharynx.
  • Audiology having sound proof chamber & performed by audiologist & speech therapist.
  • Speech Therapy center by well qualified speech therapist.

TEACHING/TRAINING ACTIVITIES:
The curriculum for ENT subject has been prepared in pursuance of MCI regulations and commences in the 3rd semester of the MBBS program and continues up to 7th semester. Lectures, small group discussion and problem based tutorial are also organized for development of comprehension, analysis and communication skills. Students are also encouraged to participate in regular bedside clinic and integrated seminar; case presentation skill sessions are also organized for undergraduate students.
