OVERVIEW
Radiology is a medical specialty that uses imaging to diagnose and treat diseases seen within the human body. Imaging techniques such as X-ray radiography, ultrasound, used to diagnose and/or treat diseases. Interventional radiology is the performance of (usually minimally invasive) medical procedures with the guidance of imaging technologies.

To become a state of art center for training, diagnostic and therapeutic imaging services and research with high caliber of patients care, evidence based and innovation.
MISSION
To impart training to medical students and quality diagnostic & therapeutic services in medical imaging, and engaged in basic and innovative research & scholarly activity to meet emerging challenges in radiological science.

TEACHING/TRAINING ACTIVITIES
The curriculum for radio-diagnosis has been prepared in pursuance of MCI regulations and commences in the 3rd semester of the MBBS program as allied subject of Medicine and continues up to 9th semester. The students are posted in batches for clinical training to learn clinical skills in radiology and imaging, for the duration prescribed by the MCI. The Students are encouraged to practice skills on patients under direct guidance of faculty. Lectures, small group discussion and problem based tutorial are also organized for development of comprehension, analysis and communication skills. Students are also encouraged to participate in regular bedside clinic and integrated seminar; case presentation skill sessions are also organized for undergraduate students.
