Physiology is one of the basic sciences which leads your way towards proper understanding of clinical sciences. From the inception five theory classes and one practical class are conducted for the M.B.B.S. students. Tutorials, Group Discussions & Integrated teachings are conducted on regular basis. People instinctively want to know how our bodies work, how we are born, how we grow and develop Physiology.? Human Physiology is a subject of first year MBBS. It deals with the functional aspect of human body. Here students learn about the normal functioning of the human body and different organ systems. Physiology describe nature of life. It provides the frame work of studying and exploring the bases of life .

• To participate in the preparation and qualification of medical and health students for the clinical stage.

• To enable health students to advance both academically and behaviorally.
• To enable these students to understand the courses in the clinical phase.

Department of physiology is having well equipped Hematology, Clinical, research, amphibian and Mammalian laboratories. One demonstration rooms are available with audio visual aids for practical demonstrations and tutorials of the students. The Department of Physiology also has an excellent library with latest editions of textbooks as well as reference books On successful completion of this course the student should be able to:

• Know the basic facts, key concepts and scientific principles of physiology necessary for the practice of medicine.
• Apply these concepts and principles in the understanding of disease processes.
• Demonstrate basic skills in clinical observation and measurement and apply these findings towards reaching a diagnosis.
• Understand how new knowledge and information is produced.
